Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Development Responsibilities

• Adheres to company standards and best practices for software design, implementation, and testing.
• Collaborates with other Software Engineers and Solution Architects to interpret designs and produce appropriate working applications.
• Identifies and proposes potential solutions to implementation or design issues within a team.
• Provides technical expertise in software development and assists other Developers in improving capability and adopting best practices.
• Suggests solutions to issues during development activities, focusing on quality, value, risk, and delivery.
• Participates in solution integration and acceptance testing as needed.
• Actively engages in company processes for continuous improvement and may demonstrate prototype or working software to project management and stakeholders.

Team Working Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of a Team Leader and demonstrates personal responsibility within that framework.
• Takes ownership of allocated tasks, agrees to schedules and deliverables, and ensures timely completion.
• Conducts peer reviews of designs, software components, and test specifications.
• Shares process knowledge to promote continual improvement within the development team.
• Actively engages in team collaboration and coordination activities, such as planning and review meetings.

• Proficiency in Java, Javascript, React Native, and Android SDK.
• Willingness to learn and apply new languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• Commercial programming experience in a structured team environment following the full software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with solution development lifecycle and appreciation of each phase, including maintenance/service.
• Understanding and adherence to company processes and procedures for software development.
• Ability to estimate remaining effort in a given development activity.
• Experience in producing technical documentation to support application design, tests, and technical notes.
• Attention to detail and thorough approach to work.
• Domain knowledge of traffic management and control room systems or similar real-time control room applications.
• Experience in both software development and maintenance teams.
