Job Roles and Responsibilities – Language Expert:

• Work on content across various topics like Help, Legal, Marketing & UI.
• Review the original material and rewrite the target language if necessary.
• Utilize Translation Memory software to ensure consistency in translations within documents.
• Use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses, and reference books to find the closest equivalents for relevant words.
• Utilize appropriate software for presentation and delivery.
• Research relevant phraseology to find the correct translation.
• Provide clients with an error-free, grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text.
• Use the internet and email as research tools throughout the translation process.
• Prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Retain and develop knowledge on specialist areas of translation.
• Follow various translation-quality standards to ensure legal and ethical obligations to the customer.
