Job Responsibilities:
As a QA Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Manual testing: Conducting manual testing of Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices-based product components. This includes B2C/Cloud (GCP)/SAAS/Mobile-First product components.
API testing: Having a good understanding of API requests and responses, and experience with tools like Postman and Swagger.
Defect tracking: Using defect tracking/management tools like JIRA to log and manage issues found during testing.
SQL knowledge: Possessing basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
SDLC and test strategies: Understanding the software development life cycle (SDLC) and various test strategies like unit tests, regressions, manual testing, and app, web, and API testing.
Test documentation: Creating test documentation such as test plans, test reports, and test metrics.
Programming experience: Having intermediate programming experience in languages like Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
Debugging skills: Demonstrating strong debugging skills at the server level using tools like ADB commands and Charles Proxy to identify the root cause of failures.
Agile development process: Onboarding quickly to the project and delivering testing tasks planned as part of the sprints in the agile development process.

Qualification required:
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
Preferred skills:
The following skills are preferred for this position:
FinTech domain experience: Working experience in the FinTech domain is preferred.
Open-source performance testing: Experience with open-source performance testing tools.
Programming knowledge: Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Automation and CI/CD: Ability to automate test cases and integrate test execution with CI/CD pipelines.
Test frameworks and best practices: Understanding of test frameworks, libraries, and best practices.
Performance and scalability testing: Ability to contribute to performance and scalability testing.
Collaboration with third parties: Experience working with third parties and delegating work to them.
