Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Associate holds a crucial role in ensuring the quality of print book files by conducting visual reviews and making informed decisions based on provided specifications. They must have strong attention to detail, adaptability to changing instructions, and the ability to accurately assess file compliance. The ideal candidate should be professional, capable of working independently, proficient in a decision-driven workflow, and skilled in tracking data using Excel.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Conduct visual reviews of print book files, following specified guidelines and training.
Execute repetitive tasks and make judgment-based decisions based on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Compare each task against SOP specifications to determine compliance.
Work autonomously within established workflow guidelines to meet targets and deadlines.
Perform tasks fairly, following instructions from Subject Matter Experts, managers, or SOPs.
Communicate effectively with Quality Assurance Specialists and Quality Assurance Leads for any inquiries.
Maintain accurate records of daily work using Excel and be available to work on weekends.
Demonstrate maturity and clinical perspective when reviewing explicit adult content, including nudity and strong language.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Proficiency in Microsoft systems, including Word and Excel.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment driven by software systems and processes.
Troubleshooting skills and the ability to make prompt visual decisions based on training.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge or experience in the publishing industry is desirable.
Previous experience in quality assurance.
Experience in data tracking.
Aptitude for quickly learning new systems and software.
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with excellent organizational and follow-up abilities.
