Indian Air Force AFCAT Detailed Eligibility:
Flying Branch:
- Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.
- Graduates (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Technical) – Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics)/(Mechanical):
- Minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.
- Minimum four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University.
- Cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India).
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) – Administration:
- Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) – Education:
- Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% in any discipline, including integrated courses offering PG.
- 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline.
NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch):
- Minimum 60% marks in each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.
- Graduate (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Final year/semester students are also eligible to apply, provided they do not have any present backlogs at the time of AFSB Testing.
AFCAT 2022 Physical Fitness Test:
- Ability to run 01 mile (1.6 km) in 10 minutes.
- 10 pushups and 03 chin-ups.
Age Limit:
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years.
- Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years.
AFCAT 2022 Selection Process:
- AFCAT written examination.
- Stage-I – Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test.
- Stage-II – Psychological test, Group Tests, and Interview.
- Medical Examination.
- All India Merit List based on performance in the written test and AFSB interview, subject to being medically fit.
Examination Fee:
- For AFCAT Entry: Rs.250/-
- For NCC special entry & Meteorology: Not required to pay.
