As a Software Engineering Intern at Google, you will have the opportunity to work on core products and services as well as support critical functions of engineering operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with peers, managers, and teams to create and support a productive and innovative work environment.
- Developing scripts to automate routine tasks, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to identify the best solutions for effectively solving problems.
- Applying knowledge gained in computer science courses to real-world challenges and projects.
Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum qualifications:
To be eligible for the Software Engineer Internship at Google, you should have the following qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience in software development using one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- Fluent in speaking and writing English.
- Planning to return to a degree program after completion of the internship.
Preferred qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following skills and knowledge are considered advantageous for the internship:
- Experience in systems software or algorithms.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux or Windows environments and APIs.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming.
- Excellent implementation skills in languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
