Job Description
We are seeking motivated data scientists with strong leadership abilities and expertise in developing, automating, and executing analytical models for our systems. A background in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or Process Control is highly relevant to this role. Additionally, experience in integrating model-based engineering tools and multidisciplinary analysis & optimization is a valuable asset.
Locations: We have openings in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize data analysis and statistical techniques to enhance customer experience and inform business decision-making.
- Identify predictors and root causes of business-related issues and implement innovative forecasting and prediction approaches.
- Identify, develop, manage, and conduct analyses to uncover areas for improvement and present written business recommendations.
- Collaborate with multiple teams as a leader in quantitative analysis to develop solutions that adhere to the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
- Analyze and resolve business problems at their core.
Amazon Internship Requirements:
Amazon internships require full-time dedication. Interns should not have any conflicting commitments, including academic projects, classes, or other internships/employment during their internship tenure. Any exam-related obligations must be communicated to the hiring manager to plan for potential absences on those days. Specific team-specific working hour norms will be communicated by the hiring/reporting manager at the beginning of the internship. Candidates receiving internship offers will be required to submit a declaration of their availability to complete the entire duration of the internship, signed by a competent authority at their university. Internship commencement is contingent upon the successful submission of this declaration.

Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated track record of delivering substantial analytical solutions with tangible business impact.
- Proficiency in R/SAS/Matlab and SQL.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working with large datasets.
- Exceptional communication and data presentation skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s or equivalent advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. Practical experience and project-based learning in computer science, engineering, or mathematics are preferred.
- Academic experience in data manipulation/transformation, model selection, model training, cross-validation, and large-scale deployment.
- Academic or project experience with machine learning and deep learning toolkits such as MXNet, TensorFlow, Caffe, and PyTorch.
- Academic experience with Big Data platforms like Apache Spark and Hadoop.
- Proficiency in data processing with Python, R, and SQL.
- Familiarity with AWS services related to AI/ML is highly desirable, particularly Amazon EMR, AWS Lambda, SageMaker, Machine Learning, IoT, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2 Container Service, Green Grass, etc.
