Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Build and deploy features and capabilities daily within a highly scalable, distributed environment spanning multiple geographical locations.
- Collaborate within an open and cooperative work environment alongside experienced engineers, architects, product managers, and designers.
- Conduct code reviews with a focus on best practices, including readability, testing patterns, documentation, reliability, security, and performance considerations.
- Mentor and contribute to the skill development of your teammates through formal and informal knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Ensure full visibility, error reporting, and monitoring of high-performance backend services.
- Participate in Agile software development practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and show-and-tell demo sessions.
Qualifications:
Your background:
- 1-3+ years of experience in building and developing backend applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in crafting and implementing highly scalable and performant RESTful microservices.
- Proficiency in a modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, Python, etc.).
- Proficiency in at least one database technology (e.g., RDBMS like Oracle or Postgres and/or NoSQL like DynamoDB or Cassandra).
- A strong passion for collaboration and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of the SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS industry with hands-on experience with public cloud offerings (AWS, GAE, Azure).
- Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns and a commitment to producing high-quality software.
