Job Responsibility :
The role of a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the highest product quality through meticulous testing, encompassing both planned and exploratory methods. The QA engineer is responsible for crafting and implementing comprehensive tests, reviewing system requisites, and monitoring key quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
Within our product development process, the QA role is fundamental. The ideal candidate will conduct pre-launch tests to ensure seamless software operation while maintaining cost-effectiveness. With an engineering background, your primary duty will involve overseeing all phases of software development, resolving system malfunctions, and upholding quality benchmarks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Thorough review of requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide prompt and constructive feedback.
- Creation of well-structured test cases that leave no detail overlooked.
- Efficient estimation, prioritization, planning, and execution of testing efforts.
- Execution of meticulously designed test cases.
- Identification, documentation, and tracking of bugs.
- Rigorous regression testing upon bug resolution.
- Development and application of testing protocols for new and existing products.
- Collaboration with internal teams (developers and product managers) to understand system prerequisites.
- Continuous monitoring of debugging outcomes.
- Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) demonstrations for the Product team.
- Vigilant tracking of quality assurance metrics, including defect densities and open defect counts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear articulation of bugs/issues, along with explanations of their underlying causes, to developers.
- Profound understanding of Manual Testing concepts and strong Manual Testing skills.
- Skill in extracting crucial test scenarios from requirements and translating them into detailed test cases.
- Capability to work under tight delivery timelines.
- Competence in autonomous work with minimal oversight and collaborative contributions in a team environment.
- Extensive experience with the Defect Life Cycle and proficiency in using defect tracking tools like JIRA.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with performance and/or security testing is considered valuable.
- Possession of a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
