The Applications Development Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate-level role responsible for contributing to the establishment and implementation of new or updated application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to application systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of application development procedures and concepts, along with a basic understanding of other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements.
- Analyze and evaluate issues, provide recommendations, and implement solutions.
- Apply knowledge of business and system processes, as well as industry standards, to solve complex problems.
- Analyze information and make evaluative judgments to suggest improvements and solutions.
- Conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code based on design specifications.
- Assess the relevance of similar experiences and evaluate options in situations not covered by standard procedures.
- Develop a working understanding of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
- Make informed business decisions, taking into consideration potential risks, while safeguarding Citigroup’s reputation, clients, and assets. This includes complying with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policies, maintaining ethical conduct, and transparently reporting and managing control issues.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in programming and debugging for business applications.
- Working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
- In-depth knowledge of a specific business area related to application development.
- Proficiency in programming languages.
- Demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication consistently.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
