Job Description:
The Testing Analyst 2 role is in a phase of professional development, demonstrating expertise in monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and evaluating processes and data within a specialized area. This entails identifying gaps in policies and devising new policies as needed. The role involves interpreting data, making recommendations, and conducting thorough research to decipher factual information. It also requires identifying inconsistencies within data or outcomes, defining business challenges, and proposing recommendations for refining policies, procedures, or practices. The incumbent integrates established knowledge from their field with a foundational understanding of related industry norms. They possess a comprehensive awareness of how their team collaborates with others to achieve collective goals. While contributing to the industry’s practices and standards, the role has a moderate yet direct influence on business outcomes, primarily confined to the scope of their team’s responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and the deployment of products into production. Collaborate with technology project managers, UAT professionals, and users to design and implement effective scripts/plans for application testing strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive software quality assurance testing, encompassing various quality control user acceptance tests.
- Analyze applications to ensure compliance with specified standards and end-user expectations.
- Develop test scripts, execute them according to application requirements documentation, and document identified defects.
- Retest software corrections to verify problem resolution.
- Document the evolution of testing cases and scripts for potential future use.
- Contribute to the formulation of test plans and liaise with development teams for clarity on requirements.
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of procedures and concepts within the technical domain, as well as a basic understanding of similar elements in other domains.
- Make evaluative judgments based on factual analysis, resolving issues by applying acquired technical expertise guided by established precedents.
- Influence the team’s performance and closely related teams by delivering high-quality task outcomes.
- Communicate ideas and information effectively, recognizing diverse audiences.
- Fulfill other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Preferred 0-2 years of relevant testing experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of relational databases and familiarity with applications supporting the testing process.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to independently tackle assigned tasks.
- Experience in software application testing.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
