Ericsson Job Responsibilities:
- Quality-assuring or sourcing channel and program information from broadcasters, agencies, or websites for use on digital platforms.
- Building rich metadata for premium programs, including extended credits, synopses, awards, keywords, and series descriptions.
- Entering channel schedules and program information into a database following house style and client-specific requirements.
- Writing program listings that are publishable, authoritative, and effective for a wide readership, including broadcasters, program makers, and viewers.
- Writing synopses for series, movies, and documentaries broadcast on the channel or platform.
- Ensuring that all changes are promptly reflected in the database.
- Assuming responsibility for channels during the absence of colleagues.
- Efficiently liaising with broadcasters and platforms and handling client inquiries.
- Writing, proofreading, subbing, correcting, and improving television listings data received from broadcasters for the database.
- Classifying and harmonizing different program genres and performing updates and changes to the program schedules.
- Regularly verifying data integrity.
- Performing sophisticated scheduling tasks for assigned TV channels and maintaining high quality in production.
- Responsible for quality translations done by team members of the same language.
- Searching and analyzing official websites for the appropriate program selection and matching the metadata in the system application.
- Communication through emails and calls regarding TV program list requests, maintaining regular updates, and raising special needs to clients through translation and interpretation.
- Weekend and out-of-hours work may be required to meet some deadlines, especially during the two months prior to Christmas.
Ericsson Eligibility Criteria:
- Any bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the field or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in Content Editing.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent content writing and editing skills in the English language.
- Outstanding subbing skills, including the ability to paraphrase program information effectively, excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Language skills or equivalent (B2 level and above).
- A good eye for editorial judgment and cultural context.
- Being a good team player and an effective communicator.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
