Job Description:
As an Associate Software Development Engineering at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in analyzing identified bugs in credit card processing products and implementing enhancements to resolve these issues. Your responsibilities will also include planning bug fix releases and deploying the enhanced product into production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize intermediate to expert skills in mainframe application development.
- Analyze identified bugs in credit card processing products and implement appropriate solutions.
- Plan bug fix releases and ensure the smooth deployment of enhanced products into production.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting using CICS and COBOL.
- Strong understanding of mainframe file access methods such as VSAM or IAM.
- Familiarity with scripting languages EZTrieve and REXX.
- Detailed knowledge of the mainframe ZOS environment, including JCL.
- Experience with scheduling tools like TWS, CA-7, Control-M, or OPC.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Positive attitude and aptitude.
- Proactive and motivated individual.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Additional scripting or programming languages.
