Job Description:
Job Summary: We are hiring a Technician – GBS Engineering to join our dedicated teams focused on product excellence and company expansion. This role is based in Coimbatore.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Generate part numbers for Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Agile & Baan systems.
- Create Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs) within the Agile & Baan systems.
- Retrieve customer documents, such as product specifications, and facilitate their release through the CDC.
- Fulfill the role of a Change Analyst during New Product Introduction (NPI) processes for implementing changes.
- Release Part Lists for production related to new models and post-ECO (Engineering Change Order) implementation.
- Efficiently manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) across global manufacturing sites.
- Utilize the Agile (PLM) system for various ECO stages, including creation, review, routing, tracking, release, and distribution.
- Thoroughly review ECOs and drawings, collaborating with the Process/Product Engineering team at the respective site.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Materials departments to assess and approve product updates/modifications.
- Address queries from Business Partners and customers regarding Engineering Change Orders.
- Ensure adherence to predefined targets for Process Metrics.
Desired Qualifications:
- A Diploma or B.E. (EEE/ECE) graduate with 0-2 years of experience in a Manufacturing setup, preferably in the EMS Industry, as an NPI/ECO Engineer.
- Proficiency in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, Engineering Change Order (ECO) management, Bill of Materials (BOM) Management.
- Familiarity with a PLM software connected to ECO procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Outlook.
- Strong analytical, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Conflict resolution expertise.
- Effective reporting and decision-making skills.
