Job Description:
Ford is currently seeking a dedicated software engineer to join the Warranty Services team. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to gain expertise in both business operations and cutting-edge technologies like Java and Spring Boot.
Selection Criteria:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proficiency in Java with a strong grasp of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design concepts.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub), continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins), testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit), build tools (e.g., Gradle), and IDEs (e.g., Eclipse and IntelliJ).
- Knowledge of working in a Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) environment.
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture.
- Practical experience with SQL and PostgreSQL (PSQL).
- Competence in using Struts and Spring MVC frameworks.
- Experience with WebSphere application server.
- Web Services Design and Development skills.
- Ability to create User Stories and proficiency in Agile software development methods.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE)
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
- Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Developing software using Java and Eclipse/IntelliJ.
- Utilizing software delivery tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Cucumber, Unit, Gradle, Eclipse, IntelliJ, and SonarQube for the development, testing, and delivery of Schedule Management capability.
- Learning and employing cloud-based computing technologies such as PCF for code deployment and server scaling on demand.
- Working effectively in Agile development methods using Rally, including handling Epics, Sub-Epics, Features, Stories, Iteration planning, burn-downs, ceremonies, retrospectives, etc.
- Collaborating with team members to share and gather technical knowledge.
- Enhancing the existing dealer-facing application with new features and change requests.
- Writing code for the dealer-facing application and developing Java-based web services.
