GE Power is currently seeking candidates for the position of Systems Engineer. The responsibilities of the candidate include:

1. (GE Power is Hiring )Supporting the Business Verticals in creating and reviewing systems solutions during the OTR (Order to Remittance) process. This involves ensuring technical fitness of solutions, managing technical risks, and identifying contingencies.
2. Performing system design and power system design.
3. Analyzing customer contracts and preparing specifications for vendors and internal stakeholders.
4. Conducting basic and detailed engineering for variable speed drive systems, including transformers, MV/LV VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), motors, MV/LV switchgear, and cabling.
5. Preparing technical documentation as per contractual requirements and reviewing vendor documentation.
6. Identifying technical risks and developing mitigation plans.
7. Reviewing developed solutions and identifying opportunities for process, system, or equipment improvements.
8. Building relationships with other GE business entities to maximize synergy benefits.
9. Collaborating with Platform Engineering, Technology and Value Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support the project and the business.
10. Coordinating with other GE businesses, platform verticals, supply chains, sub-contractors, and suppliers as necessary.
11. Promoting a lean mindset to provide optimal technical solutions for projects.
12. Ensuring strict compliance with company and customer EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) policies and procedures.

Requirements for the position are as follows:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable College/University.
2. Experience in electrical system engineering in industries such as Industry, Marine, O&G (Oil and Gas), or Power sectors, with expertise in engineering design of systems based on Medium voltage VSD, Transformer, Motor, and Switchgear.
3. Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to adapt and multitask, collaborating with project/application engineers.
5. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
6. Power quality simulation and power system design experience using MATLAB.
7. Strong prioritization and time management skills.
8. Willingness to learn with passion.
9. Self-motivation, creativity, and a collaborative mindset to come up with unique solutions to complex problems.
10. Ability to work with a multi-disciplined international team and possess good personal organization skills.
11. Capability to multitask on various projects with strict time scales.
12. Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
13. Quick identification and application of best practices within the team.
14. Willingness to travel on short notice within the base country and overseas for short or long-term assignments.
15. Availability to work extended hours during critical times, including weekends and holidays.
