Job Description
HSBC is currently looking for a Full Stack Developer to join their team.
Candidate Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements and create design specifications aligned with business agreements.
- Develop, code, and maintain Oracle systems following established standards.
- Conduct initial design reviews, proposing tactical and strategic enhancements based on program requirements.
- Generate clean code and document coding in accordance with program needs.
- Perform system integration, acceptance testing, and resolve bugs to ensure production readiness.
- Swiftly analyze and troubleshoot production issues, followed by comprehensive root cause analysis documentation.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with solution architects, business analysts, and project managers.
- Adhere to all relevant IT policies, processes, and standard operating procedures for consistent and controlled work execution.
- Provide after-hours support for production batches with a focus on performance optimization.
- Deliver valuable operational software to the business while consistently striving for technical process improvements.
- Work within PODs to deliver Stories/Tasks and contribute to technical support for Production tickets/Incidents on a rotational basis.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is crucial for effective communication with various teams/entities within the group, especially those based in Paris, New York, London, and Asia.
- Proficiency in SQL is vital.
- Proficiency in Python or Java and associated software engineering tools.
- Willingness to rapidly learn professional-grade Python.
- Knowledge of JSON processing libraries and REST APIs is highly advantageous; familiarity with XML libraries is also beneficial.
- Sound understanding of Core JAVA Python and Apache SPARK.
- Comfortable with Unix systems in general and adept in shell scripting.
- Strong data analytics skills for handling large datasets.
- Effective team collaboration across different locations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Responsiveness is critical, particularly concerning daily application support.
- Autonomy in taking responsibility for actions and bringing them to completion.
- Customer-oriented approach, capable of understanding and interpreting user needs.
- Flexibility in approach and tasks.
