Currently, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Trainee Software Engineer.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Driving operational excellence by streamlining and enhancing processes across HSBC’s global businesses.
- Efficiently managing multiple GCP projects.
- Collaborating with the application packaging team to address any technical challenges during the integration phase.
- Resolving technical or application issues related to the delivery of GCP solutions by communicating with the relevant project teams.
- Collaborating with Engineering and Operations to ensure proper monitoring of our environment.
- Ensuring adherence to SLA commitments and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Performing deployment activities to establish and maintain development, testing, UAT, and production environments during project deployment.
- Establishing, documenting, and implementing best practices for end-to-end application initiation and deployment processes.
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Proficiency in independently driving GCP Data Analytics projects and ecosystems.
- Proficiency in GCP IaaS technologies, including GCE, GAE, GKE, VPC, DNS, Interconnect VPN, CDN, Cloud Storage, FileStore, Firebase, Deployment Manager, and Stackdriver.
- Proficiency in GCP services such as Cloud Endpoints, Dataflow, Dataproc, Datalab, Dataprep, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
- Excellent understanding of machine learning setups in the Google architecture and Google Analytics products.
- Experience working in an agile and DevOps environment using collaboration tools like Confluence and JIRA.
- Programming skills and hands-on experience in Python are desirable.
- Proficiency in working with native data stores/databases on cloud-based platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically AWS and GCP.
