IBM Recruitment Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test who is passionate about learning new things and designing better ways to identify potential weak spots, inefficiencies, and issues within software systems. The ideal candidate is well-versed in test automation, agile software development, and software testing methodologies. This position will work closely with development teams and other test engineers to implement and deliver software products that meet rigorous quality standards, budgets, and timelines. As a member of the IBM Software Quality Engineering team, you will have responsibilities by close-teaming with other IT teams to deliver environments in an agile, consistent, repeatable and rapid manner. Individuals will play a central role by delivering quality functions for development teams supporting test-driven development frameworks. The scope will include Test Plan Development, Test Case Execution, Automation Testing, Data Creation, API Validation and incorporating test automation in the CI/CD pipelines.
IBM Recruitment Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree from any stream.
IBM Recruitment Preferred skill:
- Basic understanding of automated quality engineering/software development/test automation.
- Experience in UI automation with Cypress/ Selenium
- Experience in JavaScript/ Java
- Experience in using automated API testing tools like Postman, etc
- Experience with shell/bash scripting and Linux/Unix command-line interface
- Understanding agile development, test management, continuous integration, and continuous development environment (CICD) with tools such as GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins etc.
- Other Tools: ssh clients, docker.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and devise solutions
- Ability to work independently in a large matrix environment.
- Experience in test design
