Job Description:
India Post Office is currently seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) across 23 circles in India.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have a Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th grade with passing marks in Mathematics and English, conducted by a recognized Board of School Education approved by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India. The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard as declared by the State Government or as per constitutional provisions relating to the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India. Additionally, candidates must possess a Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration from a recognized Computer Training Institute run by Central Govt/State Govt/Universities/Boards/Private Institutions/Organizations. The age limit for candidates is between 18 to 40 years, with applicable age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per norms.
Selection Process:
The selection process will be based on a merit list formulated according to the rules, considering the candidates’ online submitted applications. Higher educational qualifications will not carry any weightage. The final selection will be based solely on the marks obtained in the 10th standard from approved Boards, aggregated to a percentage with accuracy to 4 decimals.
Application Fee:
General and OBC category candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100/-, while SC/ST/Female candidates are exempted from the application fee.
Salary Details:
The salary for the Branch Postmaster (BPM) post will range from Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/-, while the salary for Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak post will range from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 24,470/-.
