Job Description for Micron Technology Careers:

Operate and Maintain Equipment:

• Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts.
• Monitor and operate multiple machine capacities as established in OEE/ETI.
• Bring up equipment efficiently with minimal downtime.
• Demonstrate ability to use computer-based programs and applications for daily job duties.
• Verify accurate logging of machines in ETI.
• Provide machine coverage for breaks as directed by leadership.
• Communicate OEE/ETI issues with area personnel.
• Analyze equipment performance discrepancies and communicate possible causes.
• Consistently maximize production throughput.
• Develop new methods or procedures to reduce costs and enhance efficiency/machine capacities.
• Make suggestions to improve the OEE and ETI programs.
• Utilize OEE/ETI data to raise awareness of quality and efficiency in the area.
• Serve as an area resource for OEE/ETI questions.
• Evaluate machine capacities.
• Solve consistencies using procedures and notify appropriate personnel if not corrected.
• Solve equipment performance discrepancies using procedures and notify appropriate personnel if not corrected.

Troubleshoot Problems with Equipment and Product:

• Log machines in ETI when necessary.
• Make equipment adjustments per procedures.
• Display an appropriate sense of urgency and prioritize machine alarms.
• Apply problem-solving techniques using available tools and resources.
• Use effective problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and suggest resolution.
• Serve as a resource for troubleshooting.

Ensure Quality of Process and Product:

• Run equipment based on current process information.
• Perform required machine checks, buddy checks, and product inspection.
• Verify lot information in MAM.
• Demonstrate attention to detail for tracking and product processing.
• Prevent scrap by using proper handling methods for the transport of product and supplies.
• Organize workstations.
• Make suggestions to increase process quality/efficiency and submit changes to procedures.
• Raise awareness of handling issues.
• Investigate product quality information in QDRs and Reports page and share information.
• Prevent scrap through the identification of potential processing issues and promote quality improvement efforts.
• Serve as a resource in the area for quality-related concerns.
• Promote organizational skills in the area.

• Assist with the hand-off of engineering processes.
• Document and communicate findings from atypical lots.
• Perform equipment maintenance/conversions as defined in area certifications.
• Assist with the development of procedures.
• Review and update certification materials.
• Serve as a resource person/buddy during training of new techs and operators.

Contribute to a Safe and Compliant Work Environment:

• Identify and promptly report hazards.
• Follow safety procedures and area work rules.
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer and company guidelines.
• Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner.
• Identify and report lacking safety tools and apparel.
