Job Responsibilities:
- Play a vital role in the pod strategy by defining critical metrics. Monitor performance trends and influence interventions based on performance.
- Collaborate closely with business and product functions to comprehend business problems and translate them into appropriate analytical problem statements.
- Take charge of the entire insight generation phase. Conduct thorough analysis to provide unbiased answers to identified problem statements. Present evidence-backed insights and decisions supported by data-driven hypotheses.
- Go beyond the “Data person” role, contributing individual ideas to enhance critical metrics for the pod. Embrace a mindset of a business owner, validating thoughts with data.
- Serve as the analytics and visualization subject matter expert for the team. Ensure dashboards are designed for easy data consumption by the pod.
Qualification Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from any field.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Curiosity for business operations and a desire to understand how products function.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to manipulate and consolidate multiple data sources for analysis and dashboarding.
- Ability to handle big data sources and an intuitive grasp of data.
- Solid Excel skills and familiarity with visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView.
- Understanding of data-analysis languages like R and Python, along with core statistical concepts.
- Experience in building machine learning models is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Effective communication of thoughts and ideas, verbally or in writing.
- Candidates who can narrate the story behind their analysis gain an advantage.
