Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Monitor large computer networks and servers for problems from a central location.
- Analyze problems, perform troubleshooting and incident response on the system, communicate with site technicians, and track problems through to resolution.
- Create and maintain infrastructure necessary for the growth and upkeep of field and network operations to drive network efficiency and availability.
- Ensure necessary coordination on certification, field-level testing, and coordinate with technical teams for new enhancements and issue resolution.
- Set up configurations, the number of fiber pairs in the cable capacity, landing stations.
- Manage the complete capacity distribution and traffic activation on the cable system.
- Track and monitor environmental performance to ensure minimal interruption to network transmission or network switches.
- Lead, drive, and monitor all maintenance and cost-saving activities related to facilities, including facility maintenance, ensuring sufficient focus on optimizing the cost of facility infrastructure while maintaining reliability in terms of operations and capital investments.
- Manage marine cables, network equipment maintenance, international real estate management, security operations for all sites and networks, ensuring adequate support for the maintenance of international facilities and networks at optimal costs. Ensure sufficient focus on optimizing the cost of facility infrastructure while maintaining reliability in terms of operations and capital investments.
Requirements:
- Demonstration of problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in providing technical support in fast-paced, high availability, 24X7 environments.
- Knowledge of networks and operating systems.
