Walmart is currently hiring for the position of Technology Services Engineer I. As a candidate for this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Driving the maintenance and support of software applications globally.
- Independently addressing and resolving application issues, providing updates, and performing root cause analysis.
- Gathering necessary information to effectively handle customer software and technical inquiries.
- Planning, executing, and implementing application and configuration change procedures.
- Developing and maintaining expertise in the flow of application processes and systems related to your domain.
- Being part of a team that manages applications and systems 24×7 on a rotational basis to ensure the best customer experience.
- Taking ownership of customer technical issues from initial report to resolution, maintaining regular communication with customers regarding issue status.
- Collaborating with software support teams to manage customer inquiries and escalating as needed.
- Partnering with other software support team members on strategic projects as required.
Requirements for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related discipline, graduating in 2023.
- Maintained a minimum GPA of 7 and above.
- Good understanding of at least one programming language.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems and experience in scripting with Shell/Perl.
- Understanding of databases.
- Knowledge of networking, systems, applications, and storage.
- Familiarity with software engineering principles and architecture.
- Exposure or experience in open-source technologies is advantageous.
- Exposure or experience in cloud technologies is advantageous.
